I’ve been providing full-scope MacOS consulting, installation, troubleshooting and development services in the Charlotte, NC region since 1987.

In addition to hourly and project assignments, contract phone support and monthly onsite retainer arrangements are available.

Needs Analysis
Service to fully evaluate your hardware and software needs before you buy. Includes session with client to discuss current, short-term, and long-term computer plans; product and vendor research; plus hardware/software cost estimate (may at client’s discretion include one or more “no-obligation” quotes from area vendors, eCommerce, and mail order firms).

Three hour minimum charge.

System Audit
An evaluation to see if your computers are running at optimum efficiency. Includes checking to see if computer is running recommended version of System Software, version check of all applications, virus check, piracy check, basic hardware diagnostic check, network/security check, hard drive directory check, cabling check, and other tests as necessary.

You’ll receive a full report for each workstation audited, plus an estimate for any applicable upgrades or other recommended purchases or services.

Two hour minimum onsite charge.

Everything from setting up new hardware, updating memory, installing new hard drives, installing system software and application software, to mapping out and getting your wired/wireless LAN off and running. Clients are responsible for purchasing hardware, accessories, and System/applications software

Onsite Troubleshooting
Finding, and when possible correcting, what went wrong – on a network, hardware, system, application, or document level. May include hardware diagnostic check, reinstallation of software, and other procedures as determined necessary. While this does not guarantee that all problems can be corrected immediately, you will receive a detailed explanation of the situation as well as possible actions.

Two hour minimum onsite charge.

Remote Setup/Troubleshooting
Just need a little help configuring software? Some settings need to be tweaked? Minor patches, perhaps? Maybe you think you have a serious issue, but aren’t sure? If your computer can still connect to the internet, a remote GoToAssist session may be all you need to get you up and running smoothly without an onsite service call.

One hour minimum – reduced rate (via PayPal).

If it is determined that an onsite call is necessary to correct an issue, the remote troubleshooting fee will be waived if the service call is scheduled and completed within five business days of the remote session.
